Fiat 500 Ready to Roll Out

Fiat is ready to roll out its two door stylish car, Fiat 500 this month. The company is trying to expand its presence in India and establish a strong niche in the Indian car market.

Fiat is pretty fast on the expansion mode. Bravo, Linea and Grande Punto are also car expected to be launched in December.

The car will target the affluent sections of the society mainly the celebrities, youth and car freaks. The price is likely to be around Rs 15 lakh. Some say it’s a completely new car and others have a view that it’s an expansion of the Palio, a car that is much in demand. The company has a belief that the launch of 500 will market the launch of Fiat Linea, a mid-size sedan, about to launch in September.

  1. I remember one of my friends who used to own a Palio. He always had strong words for the mileage and performance of the car. According to him, Palio used to give mileage of 20kmpl. Will Fiat 500 yield the same mileage? I would also like to confirm the fuel efficiency.

  2. I read somewhere that Fiat will use its 1.3 multi-jet engines with 95 bhp in Linea. With such a high fuel economy I think its worth to wait for the car. I really wish that Fiat 500 lays a strong platform for Linea.

  3. I own a Palio and trust me it is incomparable in terms of fuel efficiency and performance. If 500 is an expansion of Palio, then it is expected to be a great car. I think I'll exchange Palio for 500.

  4. Thats really great that even Fiat is coming out with two door cars. Many of the car makers are coming out with
their new models and this is good news from Fiat. The price sounds to be more but it can be a good
    stuff for celebrities.

  5. It’s good to know that Fiat is making a comeback in the Indian market. But I wonder what the actual motive behind the launch is. Is it a business approach or just a brand building exercise?
