Ford Fiesta will be Costly
Wake up folks! If you like the appeal, comfort and performance of Ford Fiesta, then go and grab one before the price lets you fall.
The rising input cost with the hike in steel prices has pushed Ford India to review the price tag of it’s recently launched car, the Ford Fiesta. The current price of the Fiesta is Rs 6.57 lakh for the petrol variant and Rs 7.44 lakh for the diesel.
Even the small car expected to launch in 2010 is proposed at a price higher than 1 lakh. Wondering how much price would the company raise for the Fiesta after raising the price of its SUV, Ford Endeavour by Rs 30,000.
Keep your fingers cross and wish that the increased price tag is affordable.

Bad, I was planning to buy one.
The increased price has forced me to rethink about buying this car because now it crosses my budget.
The hike in steel price.. the hike in fule price... ford lovers who wish to go for "fiesta" in their fiesta.... should grab it before the price bites and splits their wallet..
That's really bad. I think like GM, Maruti and Volkswagen, Ford should also change its strategies and cut down the price of Fiesta. It is such a wonderful car that many people will love to buy but with the rising inflation who will buy it.
There are speculations in the air that Fiesta requires lot of maintenance costs and spare part costs. I also heard that after travelling a distance of 75000km, this new car loses all the charm and effectiveness. I really wonder if this is true. Is it a wise decision to buy the car with the increased price tag?

Just a few days back I took a test drive of Maruti Swift Dzire, Hyundai Verna and Ford Fiesta. Trust me all these cars are good but I was most comfortable and happy with the driving experience of Fiesta. I really loved the classy interiors, good leg room, and elegant exteriors. I am wiling to go for this car but as Manish says, the maintenance costs and spare part costs are very high, I am getting confused. Even the cost price has increased. This makes me even more puzzled, is it actually worth the money? Or I’ll keep on spending one over the other? Please help me out to take a wise decision. Can anyone give me a rough estimate of the maintenance and spare part costs in comparison to the Dzire and Verna.
