Car rallies have been the possession of few people in India. It has remained a classic sport of the rich. After Narain Karthikeyan becomes India’s first formula 1 driver and millionaire businessman Vijay Mallya formed the Force India team with buyout of the Dutch Formula 1 team Spyker, Indians are more associated with the car racing sport.
Now motorsports is attracting more people. Not only as contestants, but also as teams to promote brands and sell the F1 merchandise. Bangalore based Sidvin Core-Tech has launched the Team Sidvin India. The team made its debut at the Greece Acropolis Rally and was headed by driver VK Naren Kumar. He finished 10th position at the rally. Now the company has set its eyes on World Rally Championship (WRC). The Indian company Saatchi & Saatchi is assisting to create media products for the company to promote the brand.

It is surprising that team Sidvin made a quite debut when Mallya made such a big deal about of Force India launch. Getting 10th position is a good performance.
All these feats come from Bangalore is another feather in the cap of garden city.
Car racing is my favorite sport. Its good hear the banglore is motor sport enthusiasts are getting into the spirit of racing and as a bangalorean i am proud that team will be in F1 race.
this is indeed commendable looking at the money spent by Mr. mallaya and finishin in the back of the grid. Team Sidvin India seem to have used their brains and have gone to one of the best teams in the World Rally Championship. This simply means good results to look forward to.
Being a Bangalore team it makes it much sweeter.
Bangalore team in F1, that is so nice, but frankly speaking i have not heard of this team earlier but any was good going and all the best for the team.
With more indians getting associated with F1, it is now no more the sport of the rich. With one more contestant from India, and that too from Bangalore, India is all set to roll on F1 courts. May be in near future, some one from India will lead the roll!!
It is interesting that Indian companies are finally interested in motorsports. India was never present in this sport as cars were not a part of life earlier. But other companies like Sidvin are driven by passion to make it big in motorsports.
Motorsports is a recent phenomenon in India. The country is entering the race rather late and will find it tough to keep in line wit the leaders . However, its is a brave attempt at making a mark in motorsports.
