The Apex Court has finally passed a verdict on the Singur land in favour of Tata Motors. The company has won the case after a long battle with the farmers.
Earlier the company had planned to manufacture Nano only at Singur plant. But since the agitation went out of hand of West Bengal government, the car manufacture had gone on a back foot. However, the company did not abandon the plan completely. It has hired local people at its facility and trained them. The company has even helped related business houses to set up plant in the neighbouring lands.
Tata can now concentrate on its project and increase the production of the Nano in Singur, without any legal problems. It has not been easy for Tata since its got land for its ambitious project, the Nano. With the announcement of the verdict, the company has now a sigh of relief.
