Tata Employs Robots for Car production
Tata Motors is now coming up with new automated assembly line operated by robots at its plant in Pune. The new automotive line will employ 326 robots in a single line. This will also reduce the production time per car. Earlier the company has 70 robots per line. Honda is another company that has used robots for production at its plant.
Mercedes-Benz in Germany has similar unit operating at its plant. Tata Motors looking forward to enhance the production and bring down per-car-time-spent to just one minute! This may also help to roll out the Nano quickly in the market.
With this Tata Motors will be able to roll out cars like soaps and detergents.

Tata is again making news!!!it is already in fame with the launch of Nano & acquiring JLR, its now geting in to new innovative technologies....
Robots in Tata motors plant will surely decrease the cost and time. Good news for Indian buyers!
Wow! that great robot on assembly line makes work faster and easier to monitor. Apart from technical snags they need not take time out for anything and still work for 24 hours.
But i wish that human intervention would have been better. Imagine 326 families being fed rather than 326 robots. It could have enhanced Tata's profile.
