Maruti Raises Car Prices

The price hike was waiting to happen and it has been announced. All those who were planning to buy a Maruti car later this month will have to pay more. The short duration when car prices went downwards is now history. All those who purchased cars between the months of March and April have got the best deals ever. All those prices that were reduced have been brought back with higher hikes.

Maruti Suzuki India has announced a price hike on all its models. The prices are now increased by Rs 18000. It is the highest for its Swift range of cars - Dzire and hatchback. While the former prices have been increased by Rs 18000 for the diesel version, the latter is hiked by Rs 15000. Even the age old M800 has become costlier by Rs 15,000.

Mahindra and Mahindra hike in prices have come into effect from May 19. Now Maruti has gone the same way.

Now with the price increased in all the Maruti models, the sales is going to go down a little. But it is going to be only a temprory as once people get used to the pricing the demand will go high again.
