Is Civic Emission Free as it claims?

All those fans that were looking forward to buy Honda Civic Hybrid should be cautions. How different is the car from normal petrol/diesel run cars? Is it really produced less emission as it claims to be? These questions were raised by auto experts in US who made a study on the aspect.

The company claims that Civic Hybrid has one of the lowest car emissions of 109g/hm of CO2. This is even mentioned in the international websites. However, during a study it came to light that the emission was actually 171g/km of CO2. This is much higher than the standard rating of less than 140g/km.

Honda will be bringing its Civic Hybrid to India soon. So all those environmentalists who thought that Civic hybrid was the answer to all environmental issues need to re-think about it. Further, the Civic Hybrid will be costlier in India than in other countries as import taxes of 114% will be levied as soon as it lands in India. So think before twice before you buy the car.

It looks like Civic hybrid is not all that good as it is made to appear. I wonder why are the US study agencies targetting Civic now when it has been around for so many years.
However, Civic stands exposed and Honda needs to answer a lost of question before it bring the car to India.

Honda civic may be fully equipped, fuel efficient and a high performance car. But the emission test proves it to be highly hazardous to environment..and on top its going to be costlier also.. I'll surely think not twice but thrice about this car...

So what was Honda talking about when it was talking about environment. Honda was always considered a serious car manufacturer which delivered what it promised.
The promise of civic hybrid as being good for environment falls flat with this research.

There was always some doubts about Honda Civic and Toyota Prius being as eco-friendly as they claimed. The lid has finally been blown from the civic hybrid. There is nothing more to know about its efficiency apart from what is already written in the blog.

Are some auto journalists lacking the integrity they claim? Apparently the auto makers are standing steadfastly by their officially recognized numbers and have put the onus on the automotive "journalists" to come clean on how their numbers were generated.
