Gujarat is a leader again
Gujarat has traditionally been associated with business. It has been in the forefront of industrialisation in commerce and trade. It is now emerging as the export hub of auto majors. Car companies are intensively scouting for terminals for exporting cars from India. Car manufacturers developing and manufacturing their global cars in India are looking for sea port to exports their products to more lucrative markets in the West.
Some of the ports seen the radar of car companies are Mundra port, Vansi Barsi port, Maroli port, Pipavav, Okha or Kandla, all of these located in Gujarat. Moreover, the close proximity to Mumbai and Pune where most car companies have their hubs will help Gujarat to emerge as leader in another field.

Gujarat has been into trading via sea route ever since civilization started in Indus valley. It has continued to maintain top position even today. Maruti Suzuki helped car companies discover Gujarat ports. It was because they selected Mundra port that other companies have now thought of similar terminals.
The Indian auto industry is booming up very fast. And the best thing is that it is not just concentration on one state, rather spreading all over.I wonder in next five years what will be car population in india.
Gujarat has been blessed by nature with natural ports. It has also been the focal point of India textile revolution, coupled with its closeness to financial capital Mumbai has helped the state to become one of the busiest trading states in the country. I wish other states too followed Gujarat's example of focused development.
