As the cost of petrol rises, car owners are looking at alternative fuel supply. While the easiest option is fitting the car with LPG kit, car owners are opting for smoother and zero-emission CNG kits. This is a good news for the CNG kit suppliers in Mumbai, who had very little business coming from this product a few months ago. Some dealers are now fitting kits for up to 35-30 cars per month. The numbers are expected to go up by 25 percent in the next few months.
CNG and LPG kits are the best available options in India. While LPG cylinders are available everywhere, CNG filling station are few in city outskirts and no filling is possible in other places. With the skyrocketing price of the petrol, it has become practically impossible to bear the cost. The car owners are increasingly fitting their cars with CNG or LPG kits.

CNG is one of the cheapest alternative fuel for cars in India. But had it been so wonderful all cars would be CNG run now. But that is not the fact. The rise in CNG kits is a temporary phase and people will revert back to traditional fuels.
It would be nice if all cars adopted CNG an LPG or Hydrogen kits. The last one is not commonly available yet. That way all fuel cost will come down and running costs will be a cheap. It is also most fuel efficient.
I wonder with such a technology already present, the car companies needed market forces to push adopt it.
CNG has been around for a long time. But the car companies are seeing the merits of this eco-friendly fuel only now. Car manufacturers are being forced by the market forces.Thankfully mass mobility will be more cleaner in the coming years.
Car owners are becoming economical and environment friendly by adhering to use CNG Kits on their vehicles.
Thanks to the Petrol price hike. The industry related to the CNG kits are also looking for a boom as they expect a rise in the number of customers availing this facility.
CNG kits, which are fuel efficient and pollution free, is the best option as far as the indian conditions are considered. With the hike in fuel price, its surely going to be a boon to the vehicle owners. the only draw back is that, to fill in you need to drive a lot. Government has to look forth into this matter and promote ventures like this.
