Audi Expands its Target

German car manufacturer Audi is presently focusing harder on India market. The company now targets to sell 1000 units in 2008. It has already sold over 300 units and reaching the new target seems to be a very conservative estimate.

Audi had created a successful image since it entered India. This is evident in the fact that it has five models in its portfolio for India. The cars are hugely popular among the youth, who proudly flaunt the four rings.

As the country continues to drive the company performance upwards, the company now seems to be keen to contribute something back to it. It will launch a new A4 sedan in July this year.

  1. It amazing the way people have accepted Audi brand of cars so fast. A few years ago, nobody had heard of Audi in India. But now all those who are moving from premium cars to luxury cars are taking to Audi as their first choice. The four rings have cast their spell on Indians.

  2. There is a growing demand for luxury cars in India. Even till December people thought the total market size for luxury cars was only 4000 cars pr year. But by next December it will be double that number. The overall increase for luxury good is because people have more money to spend.
