Tata Motors is planning to introduce hybrid technology on its fast selling small car Indica. Don’t jump the gun and ask when it will be launching, because Tata is still developing the technology. Industry experts say that Tata is likely to launch it in 2011, but that is just a speculation. The date is quite far off for those who want hybrid car immediately. But what we know for sure is that Tata motors is developing a hybrid Indica with an amazing technology never tried in small cars before in the world.
Tata Indica could come up with a petrol-electric hybrid which will give 20 kmpl and 200 kilometers per charge. With this technology Indica hybrid owner will need to go for refueling only once a week, or even less depending on the car usage.

An hybrid Indica. Itis amazing. I believe that it will be a hit with people who are environment conscious. Maybe the big player of small cars like Suzuki and Hyundai should learn from Tata on how to make technology affordable to millions living on this plant.
