Mitsubishi wants more

Has India become a decisive factor in Mitsubishi’s business strategy? It does looks like that if you see at the new products planned for India. The Japanese company is planning to introduce the i–MiEV, an electric car and the very stylish SUV Outlander next year in India.

It seems that the company does not want to rest on its laurels gained in past. The company is already selling Lancer, Cedia, Monetro and Pajero. The company is now eyeing luxury SUV segment by launching Outlander and is also planning to introduce the first international brand electric car in India. The company has re-defined luxury cars in India. It can do the same in future. It is clearly targeting other Japanese car manufacturers Honda and Maruti-Suzuki who have already established themselves in India.

  1. Mitsubishi has found the car market in India interesting only lately. All these days it has been churning out old models like Lancer and Cedia to Indian car buyers.
Maybe its time that more recently cars were launched in India.

  2. Mitsubishi should come up with more interesting vehicles. It has already carved a niche for itself in the car market and it should take its portfolio higher up with more powerful and innovative vehicles. India has already proved to be a good market for electric cars with the success of Reva cars. Mitsubishi's electric cars will also succeed in India.

  3. I love their Lancer. But the carmaker is a flop in India as they have not cared provide proper servising facilities or spares.

  4. Looks like Mitsubushi is turning agressive in its sales in india, they are all set to foray the indian roads.I think i also read that they are they are planing to bring out new cars every six months.

  5. The Mitsubishi cars are one of the best in market. Unfortuntly none of their models look as good as the old Lancer.
