GM to increase service centres

General Motors India officials are smiling from ear to ear. The reason is increasing sales and increased production, India has come into the centre stage of GM international policies. The company has sold an astounding 60,000 cars in 2007 and has upped its target to 90,000 cars for the year 2008. But increasing sales have also brought in the need for after sales services.

Here is good news for all GM car owners. The company is trying to increase the number of after sales service centres. It now plans to increase it to 145 sales outlets and 160 service centres across the country. With this move it will be able to meet customer expectations for continued supply of parts and services.

General Motors is already eyeing the top spot in customer satisfaction and increased sales in India. It only has to takeover the old-yet strong player Maruti Suzuki in this category.

GM has its strategy read to take the top position in Indian car market. With an impressive research background and extensive designing material to fall back on, GM is pushing its way forward. However, the top position is still a long way to go as car market matures every day.
