Assessing this need, market leader Maruti Suzuki has partnered with Chennai based Shriram finances. General Motors, which is already leading in urban areas, has now set its eyes on rural areas. The company has tied up with Reliance, Tata Capital, ICICI and GMAC for special financing schemes.
Cars look beyond cities
The car manufacturers have now moved from big cities to sell their products. They have found out that the B and C cities have a high market which is waiting to be tapped. Car manufacturers feel that the smaller cities have a higher market for lower segment cars. However, the problem lies in arranging finances as most rural people borrow from private from moneylenders.

As car are are overflowing in urban cities, car makers are moving beyond cities. Now with affordable price and easy finance options even the smaller buyers can own a car.looks like soon India will be on wheels.
It's really welcome move by car manufacturers to move out of the cities to cater to the needs of rural people. It would definitely encourage many people who are living outside the cities in semi-urban and rural areas to buy or own their dream car without much problems. I hope more and more manufacturers should think to shift their focus on other places rather than cities.
Severe competition has proved to be a boon for small towns now. Car buyer from these cities and towns can now get loans from good sources and satisfy their desire to own car. It is a huge market out there. The market was always there to be tapped. But car manufactures are moving to smaller cities only now.
However, as bad as this sounds, if you know the “tricks of the trade” as it were, youll come out not half as bad as you expected. Age & Gender… Firstly, if your young, your going to get shafted. By young i mean under 25.
