Green car contest
All the green car entrepreneurs take note of this. This may be your biggest chance to win a prize of 10 million dollar prize amount and also get your green car manufactured across the world.
This is all about a competition organized by the Progressive Automotive X Prize Foundation. It was unveiled by the New York mayor at the New York International Auto Show this month. The final competition will be held in September 2009 where the newly developed green cars will be tested across the country in US. Now, the tough part is that the car has to achieve at least 100 miles per gallon. It will add one more feather in India’s cap, if any Indian achieves this feat. The entries are still open for contestants.

I appreciate the move of Progressive Automotive X Prize foundation for conducting such a unique green car contest. Such contests should also be conducted in India regularly to educate vehicle users of importance of green cars in protecting our environment. I believe it’s right to encourage environmental-friendly cars and create more awareness on this intensively.
This is an very intresting contest, But i doubt if any indian cars will win it taking into consideration the norms we follow.But hope atleat such contest will promt carmakers to go for a greener car.
This is a turely encouraging initiative. The prize money shoudl be give to more selected enteries inorder to encourge geneus talents around.
A green car competition. I think it is for the first time that such a competition at international level is being held. I believe some Indian group should also participate. Thanks to the blog i will do some more research on it and will try to contribute to it.
