Congratulations to Nissan’s new MD & CEO
I am not an avid auto news reader, but today one news topic caught my attention. Apparently, Japanese top car maker, Nissan is planning to reshuffle its Indian top management. Shohei Kimura is named to take over as MD and the CEO of the India Operation of Nissan. Mr. Kimura is already serving the company as a Vice President of India Operations.
Kimura’s International experience and extensive knowledge would definitely come in handy for the Indian market. I know that while the competition is getting tough, most car makers are making sure that the top management is changing hands and being given over to outsiders – like Suzuki. This refreshing move gives me hope that not ALL manufacturers will believe that success can only be delivered by foreigners.
Shohei Kimura, congratulations and wish you luck!

I agree with AJ that success cannot be guaranteed by Foreigners. But Japanese and European companies are known to be highly professional and result oriented. they will never take things lying down. That is why Foreign companies install their own men at the helm of Indian operations.
I too congratulate Mr.Kimura before I share my opinion over this. Indian auto industry is booming and growing faster than before. Many global car manufacturers are introducing their cars in India. Competition has become so stiff that each company would like to have experts and intelligent persons to hold key portfolios to beat this competition. Nissan has really done an excellent job by reshuffling its management in India at right time. Hope Mr.Kimura will use his knowledge and expertise for the benefit of car lovers in India.
