Selected few to sell Nano
The most wanted ‘Nano’ may not be available at all Tata showrooms when it’s up for sale later this year. It seems that the company, in the first phase, will award dealership rights for the Nano to only a few chosen ones. Of the total of 170 dealers in India, only one in every city or region will be selected. Dealerships will be increased in phases.
The company has also devised a new marketing strategy. The Nano will not be available through bookings and instead will be available directly off the shelf! Just like fast moving consumer goods. Now that’s something we’ve never seen before.

cars could become fast moving consumer goods(FMCG)s is not a viable proportion. Even though Tata's Nano is priced at Rs one lakh, it is no small amount. many buyer could require loans to buy them. And without the dealers offer price in hand no banks ever sanction loans.
Tata's nano has already received little extra hype before its commercial launch and now with its limited dealership it is going to increase its demand.
Definitely the demand is going to overflow but they should not limit the sale.
I hope Tata Motors changes its stand soon. A large section of people are waiting to own a car and take their families out in it during this diwali. I hope Tata Motors increases its dealership network to as many places as possible.
