Mobile TV in Cars

One need not worry anymore about being separated from the TV while driving around in a car. Live TV is now here for Indian cars. The Essel group-owned Dish TV is holding talks with General Motors, Ford, and Ashok Leyland to install mobile TV antennas on their cars and trucks. This facility will be added only on premium models by the car manufacturers.

The company has already come out with two products – the Speed Ray which beams 100+ channels and the T5 with 70 channels. Installation charges for the Speed Ray is Rs 1.5 Lakh, while the T5 will cost Rs 70,000. The products will be available only in Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh. Subscription fees will be the same as the home subscription fees for Dish TV.

Car owners can now drive in peace while children and rear seat passengers sit glued to the TV sets.

  1. Our technology is just paving its way .Though it is a great news but the risk factor is higher.if your are gonna watch television while driving then your concentration will leave your side.
personally i do not appreciate watching TV while driving.

  2. This is a completely unique concept. I believe audiences will no miss any of the saas-bahu serials while commuting. This concept is new and will soon catch up with the masses. Niche market or no i think everyone would like to have it in their car. DISH TV has hit the bulls eye

  3. That rss page on your blog here is brilliant, you should tell people about it in your upcoming post. I haven’t noted it a first, now I’m using it every morning to check on any updates.

  4. Although running a business sounds cool and all that. But in fact, I think you have to form a schedule so that you don’t get too involved. I liked that stuff you talked about “life is balance”. Maybe hiring someone do your work is a smart idea.

  5. This is a smart blog. I mean it. You have so much knowledge about this issue, and so much passion. You also know how to make people rally behind it, obviously from the responses. Youve got a design here thats not too flashy, but makes a statement as big as what youre saying. Great job, indeed.

  6. I know this is really boring and you are skipping to the next comment, but I just wanted to throw you a big thanks – you cleared up some things for me!

  7. Usually I do not post on blogs, but I would like to say that this article really forced me to do so! Thanks, really nice article.
