It is sad to note that and electric auto rickshaw could die even before it hit the roads. Autorickshaw cater to vast majority of Indian needs, They can scramble through any traffic jams, take quick small turns and go into any roads. the only complaint was high levels of emission. With that issue being addressed, they are the cheapest mode of transport in the world. I hope the project is revived again in near future.
It is definitely a threat to the three wheeler makers but i don not think the auto drivers are at risk. they can always shift to the nano, as it is lesser in price than auto.
beside the risk factor will also come down as three wheeler is prone to accidents.
