The Auto Expo Classic Parade

It’s was a time when people looked-back and rejoined the old glory at an Auto Expo where new wheel machines were making a huge entry into the Indian car market. The Heritage Motoring Club of India (HMCI) displayed the largest collection of vintage and classic cars at the Auto Expo this Tuesday in New Delhi. They called it the “The Auto Expo Classic Parade”.

HMCI drove down at least 100 vintage and classic cars and over 59 such motorbikes on the 1st day of the Expo. The Union Youth Affairs and Sports Minister flagged-off the display.

Classic cars are always a beauty to behold. It is good that the auto expo organizers paid a tribute to the old cars before officially opening the huge auto expo. It would have been nice if the author had mentioned some of the names of the car and their first owners.

I agree with Mr Gaonkar. I have done some research on the subject. One of cars 5248cc 8 cylinder Buick 90L, 1935 was owned by the erstwhile Raja Saheb of Ayodhya. The 1932 Austin 10 and Buick Super 8 was owned by then well known lawyer KTS Tulsi. The 1941 Ford Woody Station Wagon also owned by Raja Saheb of Ayodhya was used in Bollywood flick Gadar-ek prem katha.
i will try to find more and update this blog
