Hindustan Motors India with Mitsubishi recently unveiled Cedia Select that uses dual fuel – petrol and ALPG (Auto Liquid Petroleum Gas). This dual fueled Cedia is low on emission and is high on performance. Highly developed microprocessor organized technology helps the vehicle to give good mileage on both the fuels without negotiating on performance.
This new variant is fitted with “sequent” technology to manage the fuel economy when the vehicle is running on LPG. The Cedia Select is capable of covering 1000 kms with a full tank of 50 liter petrol and 48 liter LPG.
Dual-fueled Cedia Select comes with loads of striking features including airbags, ABS with electronic brake distribution (EBD), CD/MP3 player, wood and metal-trimmed interiors, windshield antennae, and alloy wheels. All these are made available for just rupees 8.60 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
This is the best vehicle to choose to save our environment without compromising on fuel economy and performance. The dual fuel system in the new Cedia comes as a factory fitted equipment. The emission is relatively low while using both types of fuel. Hope other companies follow this example and that the various states in India soon accept and adapt to this technology in vehicles.
