The Maruti car owners can now relax as their favourite vehicle will now come with anti-theft systems fitted as standard equipment. Vehicle thefts have been on the peak in the country with small car owners having the toughest time.
To reduce the theft rate of cars manufactured by Maruti Udyog Ltd, Maruti has started manufacturing all its cars with an engine immobilizer, which is an anti-theft device that locks the engine if the proper car key is not used. This updated security device is also known as iCAT – Intelligent Computerized Anti-theft System.
The iCAT works on digitally encrypted codes that communicate with the electronic control unit. The control unit operates only through the encrypted unique code; in other words, a duplicate key does not work without the code. Depending on the immobilizer system a car is fitted with, iCAT will raise the price of a vehicle from Rs.1000 to Rs.4500 – a small price to pay for safety. Hopefully some of the other small car manufacturers will follow this example.

thats an excellent security device for cars…it would certainly prevent thieves from breaking in..but if some one from car owner's family try to insert different key..how and when that lock can be opened???
Very good article, very much, but there is little requirement is to make your web site can be a good link, in order to promote together.

Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.
