India’s Maruti 800 is global
The Maruti 800 is India’s compact and mileage friendly car. This car is also preferred in countries that include Chile, Algeria, and Egypt (left-hand drive) and its right-hand drive models is one among the favorites in neighboring countries like Sri Lanka and Nepal.
According to the Society for Indian Automobile Manufacturers, in the previous financial year, Maruti exported over 10,000 units, though the sales count dropped in India. The export rate is expected to grow higher in the coming years. Other cars that are exported by Maruti include the WagonR, Alto, Swift, and the Zen. Among these, the Alto, which is manufactured both in right-hand and left-hand drives, is competing with its own sibling the Maruti 800 for the top spot.
Maruti is set to seduce its buyers with good financial schemes and offers along with excellent customer care services. Other die-hard competitors for Maruti are Fiat and Volkswagen.
