Hyundai India achieves unbelievable export target
Hyundai, one of India’s auto majors, exported its 400,000th Atos Prime from the Chennai Port. India’s peppy Santro Xing is named as Atos Prime for overseas customers. Being one of the largest exporters, Hyundai attained remarkable heights in less than ten years. It started exporting cars in the year 1999.
Hyundai India, by exporting one lakh cars in less than a year, achieved a target that led to it becoming one of the largest exporting firms. Hyundai exported over 13,000 units in the month of July this year. This shows the fame and popularity of the brand overseas.
Importantly, Hyundai is also witnessing over 55% of growth each year. Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) has a second plant in Chennai under construction and is planning to produce approximately 6,00,000 units per year. Nearly, half of the total production from this plant will be exported.
