BMW joins fray in India’s car market
Most of the auto majors are aiming at India. Recently many foreign luxury cars have debuted on Indian roads and various others are planning to do so in a couple of months.
BMW, German’s most favorite carmaker, has declared that its M-series sports car and luxury sedan 5-series will start being manufactured in India by 2008. This decision was taken seeing the response of the Indian public to the other models by the same manufacturer. The 3 series and 7 series cars were received well in India and are said to have sold over 400 units and the sales are expected to grow further in a few months time.
With increasing models and sales, BMW is planning to increase the dealership across the country. More luxury car manufactures aiming at India means more choices of luxury cars on Indian roads.
